Samsung has added yet another smartphone to its vast array of Galaxy smartphones in India. The latest one to join the lineup is the Galaxy On7 Prime. Alongside, the South Korean giant has also introduced Samsung Pay mini and Samsung Mall in India.
The Samsung Mall is a visual search feature that allows users to take a photo of a product in real life or upload an existing picture from gallery and then run a search on the visual search to find the same product across multiple e-commerce websites. It also enables users to buy the product via Samsung Mall’s “Universal Cart” feature. On Samsung Mall, users can also search for products from different websites in a single space, known as All-in-one Shopping.
Now that we have enlightened you about the Samsung Mall, let’s take a look at the specifications and features of the Galaxy On7 Prime. The Galaxy On7 Prime is priced at Rs. 12,990 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant and Rs. 14,990 for the 4GB RAM/64GB storage variant. It will be up for sale in Gold and Black colour options.
Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime comes with a 5.5-inch full-HD PLS TFT LCD screen boasting a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7870 SoC and runs Android 7.1.1 Nougat with the Samsung Experience 8.5 UI on top. We wonder why Samsung launched the device with Nougat instead of Oreo.
Moving on, the Galaxy On7 Prime sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with CMOS sensor, f/1.9 aperture, and autofocus. On the front, it features a 13-megapixel selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. As we mentioned above, the device comes in two variants offering 32GB/64GB internal storage that can be further increased up to 256GB via microSD card slot.
For connectivity, the Galaxy On7 Prime supports 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, 3.5mm headphone jack, and Micro-USB. The phone also includes a slew of sensors such as proximity sensor, accelerometer, and ambient light sensor. There is also a fingerprint scanner, which is integrated into the Home button. A 3300mAh battery backs the Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime and is claimed to deliver up to 21 hours of talk time on a single charge, but it may vary if 4G is turned on.
